Matt Detjen has led sales training for multiple companies, including one of the world's most recognizable brands. Over his 25+ year career, he has been an accomplished sales director, award-winning salesman, and trusted brand spokesperson. His debut business book, "REFLECT: The Art of Powerful Sales Communication," is scheduled for publication in 2024.Although Matt did not take a direct route to the training stage and classroom, it's no surprise he eventually found a home there. Studying to be an educator, he had hopes of shaping young minds post-bachelor's degree, but the pull of nonprofit causes proved too strong for him to initially resist. Before landing in the for-profit world, he would spend time on staff at an international collegiate social organization, a children's hospital fundraising arm, and a college annual fund department. Matt attributes much of his soft skill development to these early nonprofit experiences. He would also chase his acting dreams throughout his career, securing several principal commercial roles while living and working in the Midwest. Besides being fun, his on-camera work taught him the finer points of storytelling, connection, and preparation.
