Growing up surrounded by a wealth of books at home and frequent visits to the library, where her mother worked for several years, Melonie's passion for literature only deepened.​Melonie pursued her academic aspirations, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Francis Marion University and a Master of Science degree from the University of South Carolina. Yet, amidst her academic journey, her heart remained tethered to the joy of storytelling.
