Fairs are supposed to be fun. However, scientist Sara Almquist and her FBI colleagues find little to smile about as they investigate a murder at a medieval fair in Santa Fe. Many of the fair's troupe are involved in a web of crimes-robberies and embezzlements. Hence, several had motives for the murder. This is a stand-alone mystery but it is the sixteenth book in the Science Traveler Mystery series.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

J. L. Greger is a biology professor from the University of Wisconsin-Madison turned novelist. She includes tidbits about science, the American Southwest, and her international travel experiences in the 16 mysteries and thrillers in her Science Traveler Series.Her books (Crazy Like a Goat and Malignancy,) were named best mystery of the year by the Public Safety Writers Association in 2025, and 2015, respectively. Her books have won many other awards from the New Mexico/Arizona book awards, New Mexico Press Women, and Public Safety Writers Association. PSWA named her cover for The Man Who Looked for Death as the best cover in 2025.
