The year: 1939. The Fuehrer's war against all humanity now engulfs Europe. Great Britain issues a desperate call for American pilots to train RAF fighters.
Eddy McGowen, a clean-cut New England farmboy, has mastered flight before even learning to shave. Early on in Eddy's instruction, his trainer—a barnstorming daredevil uncle—has taught his 17-year-old protégé:
“Any fool can take one of these [airplanes] off the ground. The real trick is getting it back down on the ground in one piece.”
Eddy finds out first-hand just how relevant and timely his uncle's advice is—not only to aviation, but to all of life itself—as he leaves home and family to answer England's call. Eddy soon finds himself fighting for life, liberty, and love as he faces Hitler's barrage of war-hardened airmen.
World War II is not the only conflict raging in Eddy’s heart . . .
