Candice Klopfenstein es autora y artista. Le encanta estar en compañía de su familia, leer libros, pasar tiempo en la naturaleza, compartir una comida con amigos, ver películas y explorar playas. Cuando era niña, desarrolló un amor permanente por los libros ilustrados, la creación de proyectos de arte, la recolección de conchas marinas y la calidez del sol. Su viaje personal de pertenencia la ha llevado a buscar formas de ayudar a otros a experimentar una vida llena de paz, esperanza, alegría y risas. A través de amistades con refugiados, trabajando con una organización local de refugiados y viviendo en países con diversas culturas, llegó a comprender el deseofundamental de las personas en todas partes de tener un lugar seguro y pacífico al que llamar hogar. Esta comprensión la llevó a escribir historias que traen esperanza a los niños y las familias que han experimentado una pérdida. Candice vive en Chicago, Illinois con su marido. Éste es su primer libro para niños.Candice Klopfenstein is an author and artist. She loves time with her family, reading books, spending time in nature, sharing a meal with friends, watching movies, and exploring beaches. As a child, she developed a lifelong love for picture books, creating art projects, collecting seashells and the warmth of sunshine. Her personal journey of belonging has led her to look for ways to help others to experience a life full of peace, hope, joy and laughter. Through friendships with refugees, working with a local refugee organization and living in countries with diverse cultures she came to understand the fundamental desire of people everywhere to have a secure and peaceful place to call home. This realization led her to write stories that bring hope to children and families who have experienced loss. Candice lives in Chicago, Illinois with her husband. This is her first book for children.
