Shari'ah (Islamic law) is much maligned in the media and in the world today. The term is abused and misunderstood. It is the key to achieving success in this world and earning the best reward in the Hereafter. The shari'ah encompasses everything from the way Muslims practice the most personal and intimate of matters to how they worship, conduct business or governance. All of that and more is a part of shari'ah and how to apply it is the job of Fiqh.

This book introduces some basic rulings of Islamic Fiqh related to personal hygiene, prayer and its effect on our mental health. It is written in simple and clear language that allows topics to be easily understood and designed in a manner that reinforces the concepts therein. We have used all authenticated hadeeth references and have put forward the positions of a majority of the scholars or the position which is closest to the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam. We have cited any difference of opinion when applicable.
