Breathtaking in its radiance, the stone is shrouded in mystery. Its origin is unknown, as is the reason why Gina’s grandmother insisted that she have it. Was it intended as a keepsake? If so, why did her grandmother keep it hidden for years, steadfastly refusing to share it or discuss it with anyone? Is the stone tied to some deep, dark secret?

To find the answers to those questions, and with her own safety hanging in the balance, Gina must decipher a cleverly hidden set of clues left behind by her grandmother. But this time, she must work alone, secretly, without the help of her best friend and fellow sleuth Nathan Cole, who is embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a newfound enemy, one will stop at nothing to acquire the Hammond bookcase and the astonishing secret it contains.

As Gina works to solve the mystery of the gemstone, she must elude dangerous forces that would use it for an unthinkable and deadly end. Little does she know the startling truth that awaits her, or how it will forever change the course of her life.
