Genie Byrd completed Paw Mischief, her fifth children's book, during a time of government mandated stay-in-place directives due to Covid-19. Intense focus, resolve, energy and small daily goals became parts of the creative process . . . also, a mental, physical and emotional outlet.Riley and Cole, the canine characters of her new book were real family pets: mischievous, fun-loving, and prone to lots of trouble. Genie loved those adorable grand-dogs and now finds delight in knowing children will have the joy of getting to know these completely opposite pet personalities who were best friends and siblings.Paw Mischief was written for children to teach the importance of always obeying parents, making good choices, and the possible painful consequences of wrong decisions. Paw Mischief is also written for pet lovers everywhere. Hopefully, it will inspire pet rescues and adoptions, as well.Genie's love of writing children's books was birthed after 34 wonderful years as an educator. She retired as an elementary school principal in Cobb County, Georgia.Genie and her husband, James, live a full life and together spoil a full covey of grand and great-grandchildren. Michelle Rheaven Dulcie is a mother of four amazing children: three of them with autism, one severe in the spectrum, and all artistically giftedlike their mother.From Canton, Georgia, Michelle was born with a fervent desire to draw. Using the God-given talent passed down through her mother, Paw Mischief is her first experience in book illustration. Her artistic training includes three years at Atlanta College of Art and many private lessons. Her art portfolio is varied and includes drawings, paintings, wood carvings, sculptures and chalk pieces. She has also created storyboards, made live chalk paintings, designed toys, and numerous other projects.Michelle's overall focus and hope is to inspire and capture the hearts and imaginations of people of all ages around the world, as she invites them to see through her eyes.
