This book was written from a "school rap" that Carmichael wrote when she was a 4th grade teacher. Carmichael's students performed the song at their "Responsibility" school assembly. Carmichael took the letters from the word "Responsibility" and created a rap that centered around responsible students. The song's beat was sampled with Tupac's "All Eyes on Me" instrumental.
