Politely Rejecting Jesus - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Dan Kapr grew up in a conservative Christian environment where he became enamored with Jesus’ vision of God. He set out to become a pastor, but after years of studying the New Testament and Christian theology, he ultimately concluded that his faith was misguided. While he continues to embrace theism, he no longer believes that Jesus is God.

In Politely Rejecting Jesus, Kapr explores the historical and theological issues that cast significant doubt on the credibility of Jesus’ message. Along the way, he addresses many of the claims found in Christian apologetics resources. Topics include:

• Jesus’ predictions about the Son of Man
• Differences between the New Testament gospels
• C. S. Lewis’ “liar, lunatic, or Lord” argument
• David Hume’s argument against miracles
• The historical evidence for the resurrection of Jesus
• Literal vs. metaphorical approaches
