Shaina is struggling with jealousy and insecurity. She doesn't have the same talents as her older brother, so she feels like there's something wrong with her. That is, until she goes through an incredible transformation. Many kids struggle with comparing themselves to others and feeling like they have to be like someone else to be special, validated, or good enough. But the truth is that we all have unique gifts and talents that should be embraced, and our different abilities create diversity. This book takes children on a journey of self-discovery and empowers them to focus on using their own gifts rather than envying the gifts of others. The book includes a cute story paired with vibrant illustrations, followed by thoughtful discussion questions to help children process their feelings of jealousy and replace those feelings with acceptance and self-love. Find out how Shaina makes her transformation. The author, Shamirrah Hill, is a former K-12 creative arts teacher who enjoys helping children discover their gifts and talents.
