Dr. Morehouse was raised in a traditional Christian home in the 1950's and functionally became a humanist during college and medical school in the 1960's. After completing his medical residency in Family Medicine in the early 1970's he embarked on a career of serving the poor but soon found that his secular faith and alternative lifestyle were woefully inadequate to the task. In 1974 he underwent a dramatic conversion from the philosophy and lifestyle he had been living to a wholehearted commitment to Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He has now been a committed Christian for over 50 years. As a family physician, he joined with others in founding a comprehensive faith-based medical clinic where he and his colleagues have ministered to thousands of people in body, soul, and spirit over the decades. Since "graduating into retirement" from active clinical practice in July 2018 he has devoted himself to continued Christian growth, family, study, writing, and teaching about the Kingdom of God.
