One ear up. One ear down. Always ready for an adventure.

Meet Lilo, a curious little dog who loves running through fields, exploring the woods, and splashing in streams. There is so much to discover-and Lilo wants to see it all! But when her exploring leads her into sticky mud, she finds herself in a predicament: her paws are stuck, and no one is around to help.

At first, Lilo is frightened. Then she takes a deep breath and starts to think. Getting out of this mess will take courage, determination, and a creative idea.

Written by Mayor J.P. O'Connor and inspired by his real-life dog, The Adventures of Lilo is a rhyming picture book set in Westlake, Florida. Colorful illustrations bring Lilo's world to life, inviting young readers to follow her through sunny landscapes and one very muddy adventure.

With a playful spirit and an encouraging message, Lilo's story shows children that being brave doesn't mean never feeling afraid. Sometimes it means pausing, thinking, and trying something new.

An engaging read-aloud for children ages 3-7, The Adventures of Lilo gives families a story to enjoy together-and a little dog to cheer for along the way.
