Ken Solomon is a photographer whose work captures moments of cultural and human significance.In 1971, while pursuing his dream in New York City, he returned to Camp Blue Star inNorth Carolina-where he documented the first interracial overnight summer camp in the South, a historic and deeply moving experience that would later become Beautiful Faces 1971.His life journey took him from New York to Florida and California, where he raised a diverse, multiracialfamily through both adoption and parenthood. Later settling in San Francisco, Ken workedin journalism with publications including The Bay Times, SF Weekly, and Bay Guardian. His workreflects a lifelong commitment to storytelling, identity, and the beauty of human connection.
