The Things I Won’t Tell You was created as part of the author’s personal diary. Dylan Winter depicts the turmoil caused by growing up LGBTQ+ in a religious community, constant battles with mental health, heartbreak, and lost and unrequited love. They chose this title as an embodiment of hiding true feelings and regretting it once the moment is gone.

About the Author
Author Dylan Winter was born and raised in a small, Christian town near Lexington, Kentucky. They have since gotten a BA in Sociology from Western Kentucky University and moved to Indianapolis to work as a social worker. They live with the love of their life, a cat named T, who only responds to “Baby,” and who they say saved their life during a mental health crisis. The Things I Won’t Tell You is their first published work, though they have been writing in different forms since the age of eight. They hope they can reach out to readers who identify as LGBTQ+ and struggle with mental health issues, or provide a window of understanding for those who don’t.
