Author is now 85 and lives in San Angelo, Texas. Married for 64 years and has 2 grown sons and 1 grown daughter. He is a devout Christian, has filled in as sub-preacher for many years. He has a BA in Communications, sang in an a" capello gospel quartet for nearly 20 years and made 8 albums with the Embers Gospel Quartet.
