This is the story of Giulietta Moscati, who meets a promising young politician named Johan Scott at the University of Copenhagen. They fall in love for some reason, but sooner than later, Giulietta discovers that Johan has a dishonest heart. Johan does not love her; his first love is power because he is willing to do everything possible to gain as much power as possible to reach the top; he does not mind using or destroying the people who trust him.
Johan has no ethics, principles, or shame. He is even willing to make a pact with strange forces to obtain all the power he wants.
However, in life, you reap what you sow, and as Jesus would summarise, "And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?"
This book is inspired by George Orwell's writings. It tries to describe how true power is found among the shadows and how we are all influenced by some forms of control that try to manipulate our thoughts in one way or another.
