Right after Ed lost his job due to the Depression of 1929 He packed up and moved his family to Louisville, Ky. Ed hired on as a Louisville Police Officer. Two years after going through the Police Accademy and a short stent with a more senior Officer in a Patrol car Ed now has to spend the next six months as a Fourth Street Beat Cop. The story is about real events that Ed experienced. I am one of 4 grandkids of Ed. Beat Cop is made from true stories Ed told me and my brother him self. They were compressed into the time frame of the book, but really happened over his 22 years as a Louisville Police Officer.
