CORN is a disaster melodrama that hurtles the reader through a cascading parade of minor actors, unscrupulous Wall Street lawyers, corrupt politicians, farmers lunged into financial ruin, corporate executives and incorrigible lobbyists with doses of greed and sex thrown in to keep the action rolling.
