The olive tree stands as one of the most noble and meaningful symbols in the Bible—rich in spiritual significance and practical provision. Through it, we catch a glimpse of the generosity of our Creator and the depth of His character. By digging deep into the roots of the olive tree and exploring its fruit, we uncover God’s message to His people. This journey takes us through an olive grove in South Africa, where we meet Andries and Louise Rabie, owners of Lions Creek Olive Estate. Their passion, stewardship, and faith are reflected in the production of some of the finest Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) in the world. Their story reveals how dedication, patience, and reverence for God’s creation yield fruit of exceptional quality.
Alongside this, Reverend Johan du Toit of Word Wise Network offers profound biblical insight into the meaning of the olive tree—particularly the concept of “grafting in” of the Gentiles—and how this imagery reveals God’s redemptive plan through Scripture. His teachings illuminate the olive tree as a living testimony of covenant, restoration, and grace. Hardship, trials, and brokenness—like the pressing of olives—do not destroy us. Instead, they produce the Fruit of the Spirit and deepen our trust, love, and dependence on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Non-fiction storytelling has always been central to my life. Drawing on my background as a South African freelance television producer for over 15 years, this work is structured through interviews and presented in a script-style narrative. I had the privilege of interviewing Pastor and author Johan du Toit, as well as Andries and Louise Rabie—faithful followers of Christ whose lives bear witness to God’s faithfulness.
This labor of love is offered as an act of worship. May it glorify You, Lord Jesus, for who You are. We are eternally grateful to be called Your own
