After the death of her best friend Alex, the author recalls memories of their friendship while navigating the grieving process. Alex begins to appear to the author in different reincarnations trying to figure out her own path in the afterlife. The author struggles with her own life in the present, but as in life, even in iterations, Alex shows her how to continue living.
