This softcover book consists of five case studies of all-electric multifamily residential buildings, which were designed to produce zero carbon emissions operationally and minimize embodied carbon content. Three of the five projects are "affordable housing" projects that minimized construction and operation costs. Included in the case studies are the project backgrounds, design strategies for zero carbon including building envelope, heating & cooling systems, DHW systems, on-site renewable energy systems. Also discussed: energy modeling, embodied carbon analysis, resulting energy performance data and post-occupancy observations (lessons learned). Many professional photographs, architectural floor plans and details, and system diagrams are included.
