Maybe you are a teacher and are trying to better prepare yourself for your economics class, maybe you are a student and are looking for some help, or maybe you are neither of those and are just looking to get a better grasp on how economics works.

Whatever the reason, you’re in luck! I’m here to help!

I have been teaching for more than nineteen years and for most of those years, I’ve been teaching economics. In addition to a regular economics course, I also teach AP Economics and have been going to the AP Reading for many years, most recently as a table leader. I am also one of the authors and editors of some of the Crash Course Economics videos on the Crash Course YouTube channel.

Boil all of that down and it means I’m fairly confident that together we can do it.

This book is my attempt to explain in a simple, understandable manner what is generally regarded as neither of those things.

It is the distillation of many years of teaching and learning into what I hope you’ll find is an approachable series of discussions about economic topics.

It is also not claiming to be the definitive answers on all questions economic. Instead, as the title states, this is simply my current understanding of economics in all of its non-definitive glory. This book is my attempt to help you either start to get some understanding of your own or to improve the understanding you already have.

It can also help to fill in the gaps that so many textbooks seem to assume you inherently understood or simply skipped right past.
