Inhaltsangabe

What if you could lay a sound foundation for understanding the whole Bible in just 50 days instead of taking at least 1 year? You can with Know Your Bible in 50 Days!

Why? Because we do not want to be among those of whom “Jesus [Christ] … said … Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures [the whole Bible], nor the power of God.” Matthew 22:29.

Therefore, “study [the Bible] to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing [interpreting] the word of truth [the Bible].” 2 Timothy 2;15.

“In the beginning was the Word [Christ], and the Word [Christ] was with God, and the Word [Christ] was God.” John 1:1. So, Jesus is made known in the Bible, the word of God. “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3. Thus, to not know the Scriptures, (the whole Bible), is to not know Jesus Christ and, hence, to not gain eternal life.

“Wherefore [Therefore] lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness [abundance of wickedness], and receive with meekness the engrafted [implanted] word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:21.

Know Your Bible in 50 Days focusses on understanding the Bible “as it reads” and on applying the Scriptures to your own life. This is the FIRST STEP to knowing the Scriptures BEFORE you can begin to unpack the many, many layers of meaning in the Bible.

For the Bible is a guide to knowing God and Jesus Christ, “in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3.

Thus, Jesus Christ says, “Till I come, give attendance to reading [the Bible], to exhortation, to doctrine [to the teachings of the Bible].” 1 Timothy 4:13.

For “the holy scriptures [the Bible] … are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly [fully] furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:15-17.

Also, God says, “Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have [moral] strength.” Proverbs 8:14.

Therefore, Christ’s prayer for us is, “Sanctify them [Make them holy] through thy truth: thy word [the Bible] is truth.” John 17:17. For “thy [God’s] word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105. Thus, “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day [the day they are ready for heaven].” Proverbs 4:18.

Let your prayer then be, “Teach me to do thy will [as revealed in the word of God, the Bible]; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness [which is heaven].” Psalm 143:10.

“For this cause … [I] do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his [of God’s] will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Colossians 1:9. So, as we prayerfully read and study the Bible, the Holy Spirit will cause us to be able to say of ourselves in truth, “Thy [God’s] testimonies [the Bible] also are my delight and my counsellors.” Psalm 119:24.
