Jesus is the heart and core of the Ekklesia! That is, He is the Head and Source! While the Body is not Jesus, Jesus is not the Body! If salvation comes to earth, it will come from the Head, by the Spirit, through the Ekklesia, that is, the Body. In other words, the Ekklesia is not only God’s redeemed people on the earth, but we are, also, the human agency by which Jesus delivers His life and ministry in the world. Today’s Church does not fully realize or activate this central truth.
