My name is Cindy Sanders, and I am many things: a seventeen-year-old who would rather not move if she doesn’t have to, a girl with an IQ over 180, and apparently, the future mother of time travel itself. That last part is what landed me here. Somewhere between giving the world its first time machine and being blamed for a war I never knew existed—the Time Travel Wars—I earned a spot on Empress Zelda’s Genius List: the top twenty teenage minds in all of Earth’s history.

I didn’t know any of this until the day I was taken. Pulled from 2026 and dropped into the 23rd century, I found myself locked inside an inescapable dome alongside nineteen other teenagers—geniuses ripped from their own timelines.

Why? Because the 23rd century is running out of time, and Zelda is running out of options. To earn our way home, we have to solve her challenges: time travel modules, IQ tests, survival scenarios. Simple enough, except that some of my fellow geniuses once conquered entire civilizations. And not all of us are going to make it out.
