Ballytreeny Boy - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Born into a rural family in 1940’s Ireland, Niall O’Sullivan remembers his early years with a warmth and sense of mischief that lifts him out from the crowd. His struggles at school, where discipline is fierce and rebellion even more so, light a fire that sustains him through childhood experiences that would have flattened most.
Girls and embarrassment go hand in hand with moments of awakening that will resonate with many, but mischief is his main motivator, with hilarious results.
A job on the local trawlers at thirteen, with a near death experience would discourage most, but Niall then finds incredible adventures with the Merchant Navy, crossing the Atlantic and the Great Lakes of Canada.
Fun and laughter, however, are the overriding features of his young life, whether toiling on the land, stepping on toes in a Holiday Centre or navigating the deadly wiles of Las Vegas.
