Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Sarah Aroeste is an award-winning singer-songwriter and children's book author focused on bringing Sephardic culture to new generations. Since 2001, Aroeste has recorded 8 Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) music albums, including Ora de Despertar (2016), the first-ever all-original Ladino children's album, and Together/Endjuntos (2017) a bilingual Ladino/English holiday album. In addition to recording Sephardic music, Aroeste has published several bilingual Ladino/English books for children such as Buen Shabat, Shabbat Shalom (Kar-Ben) and Mazal Bueno! (Kar-Ben). She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two daughters, and in her free time likes baking biskochos, her favorite Sephardic treats with them! saraharoeste.com

Maria Mola is a Barcelona-born illustrator living in Boston with her husband and three children. She creates whimsical art for books like Sparkle Boy, Maya Papaya, and Koala Challah, exploring the inner worlds of kids and everyday moments.
