Raiden: War of the Guardians: The Irregular Universe (Raiden: The Irregular Universe, Band 2) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Disobeying the gods has consequences.

Hania Hawke was supposed to be the Guardian of Lightning—a superhero chosen to serve the gods of lightning.
Now those same gods have forsaken him.

One moment of rage. One devastating mistake. And with Kagutsuchi manipulating events from the shadows, Hania has gone from Guardian to fugitive.

His fellow Guardians have their orders:
Find Raiden. Bring him down.

With nothing left for him in New Mexico, Hania goes on the run, forced to face opponents who understand the gods just as well as he does, if not more. Every battle pushes him farther from home—and deeper into a conflict that could tear the human realm apart.

But Hania isn't only fighting for his life.

He's fighting to prove that the worst thing he's ever done doesn't define who he is.
Abandoned by the gods he served, hunted by the people whom he’s never met, and struggling beneath the weight of his own guilt, Raiden must survive a gauntlet of Guardians long enough to uncover the truth behind his fall.
Because Kagutsuchi isn't finished with him.

And if Hania can't clear his name before the Guardians close in, the coming war may leave far more than one fallen hero in its wake.

Raiden: War of the Guardians is the second book in The Irregular Universe, continuing the mythology-infused superhero saga with gods, Guardians, supernatural battles, found family, mental-health struggles, and a wisecracking demigod learning that sometimes the hardest person to save is yourself.
