These were the real-time thoughts, feelings and challenges documented daily by a junior doctor during the terrifying first wave. It is a highly personal take of a junior doctor who was about to become a GP. It covers the personal trials and tribulations faced by the front line. Stylistically different to This Is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay and Trust Me I'm a Junior Doctor by Max Pemberton, it chronicles failure, stress, romance, life and death during the worst health crises of the past 100 years.

One doctor was challenged by his work, own limitations, delayed career progression, postponed marriage and overwhelmed by emotion as he wrote about those turbulent times. It covers the internal struggles the frontline went through. For the purposes of preserving anonymity and dignity, patients are not the focus of this work.
