This is to all the homeowners in an HOA (Homeowners Associations) out there. Be afraid. Be very, very afraid. Hide beneath your bed and hope that you never find out about any of the insanity that governs your home and your property. Make ostrich’s proud and HIDE your head in the sand. If not, if you actually care about your home, your family, and all of the things you work for, take this advice: PAY ATTENTION. This is a cautionary tale based on real events. Learn the laws that govern your HOA, learn the rules and regulations that regulate the actions of the people that run your HOA. Meet those people that run the HOA, learn who they are. Be vigilant and make sure that the people that have authority over YOUR property are doing what they are supposed to do with YOUR money, what they are in fact required to do by law.
