This boat is sinking - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Bharati Muthu’s poignant strokes of poetry tries to take the course from falling in love, to knowing what not to love. Coming out of a crush is never simple. It trigger the metamorphosis – for one to experience change.

“This boat is sinking” is a delightful compilation of the high-lows of perchance meeting and the musings while its clearly not meant to be. The poetry tries to take reader for a journey of discovery eventually leading to understanding and then to its undoing.

Bharati maintains her ‘spartan’ and modern approach to ‘haiku-like’ evocative love poems. Written in 48 hours – there is genuine attempt to maintain authenticity to the ‘crush phase’. How to navigate nostalgia as retrospect and how much one has moved on? The sense of loss can be felt not in the actual loss of ‘ones crush’ but in the fact that with experience and rejection one just becomes a mere witness – a bystander.
