Two young men from a group of friends make a promise to perform an act when requested much later in their lives. For this both are protected from all harm but both have different secrets of love. This book follows their lives through an Eton type boarding school into university and in later life as they progress up the political ladder to become Ministers in the Conservative government. The loves of their lives and life long friends follow them but not everyone is whom they seem. Many evil deeds cross their paths and no one is really safe. The climax will dictate the future of all mankind.
