Being appointed as principal of a school requires the kind of courage, perserverance, flexibility and often, a crystal ball that can only come from the desire to make a difference. It's often a lonely learning journey where you need to draw on your inner strength to reach the heady heights of transforming lives. As you build upon the lived experience you will change how you see your school, your students, and yourself. This book offers insight into my learning journey as a principal which may provide a road map for others to travel. In each page, paragraph and phrase I try to offer you some advice and support as a means to reflect on your own experiences. I believe deeply that the future of our world is in great hands, as leaders of schools around the globe continue to build education systems for what is yet to come. Ultimately, as leaders we all want our students to leave our schools wanting to know more about themselves, others, and the world. To be better tomorrow than they are today.
