Instrumentation and Safety serves as an introductory course to the general field of Instrumentation. This course will provide an overview of industries that employ instrumentation technicians and analytical instrumentation technicians. This overview will include instrument safety techniques and practices as applied to the instrumentation field, and also describe safe work practices, while giving new technicians the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in their new profession. The intention of this course is to provide the student with the basic understanding necessary to continue in their journey towards an Associates of Applied Science in Instrumentation or Applied Instrumentation.
