The evangel (euangelion: gospel) of Mark is the earliest and shortest of four evangel accounts in the New Testament. This devotional commentary consist of 30 readings of mainly modernised KJV texts transliterated from the synoptic evangels (Matthew, Luke and John) to provide a fuller detailed account in addition to the conversation each may have with the other evangel writers as scripture interprets scripture.

Who do people say Jesus is? And, who do the disciples of Jesus say He is?

Jesus define greatness as being a servant. The Son of Man is acquainted with sorrow. Surrender His will to the Father’s will.

Christ gave His life as a momentous sacrifice as the Lamb of God who take away the sins of the world to show us the way of righteousness is found in Him.

This is evangel (euangelion: lit. well-message): liberation of gracious life of the kingdom of God.

He was rejected, betrayed, died on the cross, buried, and on the third day raised from the dead in good places.

Christ will come again to judge the world in righteousness. Repent and believe in Jesus for deliverance from sin, darkness and oppression to serve God in newness of life. He makes all things beautiful.
