It was the perfect small town, Ellsworth, Massachusetts, except for one thing… December 25th. There were holiday trees and holiday cookies, but Christmas was never mentioned; that is, until eight year old Grace Livingstone sneaked into her late grandmother’s attic. There she found the remnants of past Decembers and among the dusty boxes, a Christmas tree. Grace’s find leads her on a journey to discover the true meaning of December 25th, and why Holiday replaced Christmas as just a “holiday”. This story is an amusing and interesting look at the debate of Christmas in our culture, and how one little girl realized the meaning of it all.
