The present book “REMEDIAL COURSE IN ABSTRACT ALGEBRA” has been written to develop foundation knowledge for the readers to understand basics of abstract algebra. The subject matter has been discussed in such a simple and systematic way that the readers will find no difficulty to understand it.
The present book is divided into six chapters (Chapter-1 Groups; Chapter-2 Cyclic Groups; Chapter-3 Permutation Groups; Chapter-4 Subgroups; Chapter-5 Homomorphism and Isomorphism of Groups, Cayley’s Theorem; Chapter-6 Normal Subgroups) and in the end of each chapter a set of unsolved problems as an exercise to the students has been incorporated.
