The highly trained professionals whose one purpose in life was to pass on the knowledge gained through years of experience to mostly unwilling victims. After a role as a telephone exchange engineer I left to become an instructor at the residential training school at Yarnfield, Stone. This is the tale of those fun filled years working with a happy bunch of extroverts, my fellow instructors and lecturers. Along with some historical background It is also a tale of the many thousands of students who passed through those halls at Yarnfield. Their pranks, scams, jokes and general banter all made working there a memorable experience. The buildings no longer exist but the memories live on and I hope that this memoir helps bring some of those recollections back to life.
