First John is the second book in the series Alliteration for Inspiration, the first being Finding True Freedom in Galatians. The literary tool of alliteration is used to explore the book where 45% of the actual text mentions the word love. Yet the word love is not mentioned in the first chapter of First John; the emphasis here is on the Life and the Light. The author takes the time to explain these to get the setting and the context of agape love before going on to explore this love.
