Inhaltsangabe

BIRDOGRAPHY features a series of 96 humorous cartoons aimed at a specialized audience: birdwatchers. Although it will be especially appreciated by those having deep field experience with birds, anyone who is drawn to wildlife, hiking in a forest, or watching nature specials on TV will enjoy this book.

Peter Alden, the best-selling author of the National Audubon Society Field Guide series (Houghton-Mifflin) and internationally known birdwatcher, has written: “Mark Hopkins is a great talent with an artistic skill and uncanny humor for depicting and deciphering what makes birds tick. The book captures the minds and actions of our cherished bird population in a witty and lighthearted way. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.”

BIRDOGRAPHY author Mark Hopkins, now retired and currently writing and lecturing on nature and environmental issues, spent many years in the advertising business as an agency executive and creative services director. He is an award-winning nature photographer as well as a published poet and co-author of a book on textile art. Widely traveled, he has enjoyed a lifetime of wildlife-watching both at home and in his many international adventures. This is his first book solely devoted to cartoons. Mark and his wife Margie live in Concord, Massachusetts.
