The book of Acts study guide is designed to be a guide for individual study or for small groups.
The book of Acts is about ordinary people doing extraordinary things proving that signs do follow those that believe. (Mark 16:17-18)
The most striking element in the book of Acts is knowledge of the ministry and work of the Holy Spirit during the church age. Luke is very thorough in describing a number of persons’ experience with the Holy Spirit. In his various accounts, we note the range of terms he used to describe what actually happened to the people. He said that people were “filled” with the Holy Spirit, “received” the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit “fell upon”, “poured out” on the Gentiles, and “came upon them.”
