Inhaltsangabe

One night a princess escapes from the sumptuous palace of the
Pharaoh, the Lord of the Two Lands of Khemet. To her father,
a remote figure, she is merely a bargaining tool to be sold off to
a foreign king or noble in marriage. Yet at her birth fourteen summers
before, on the edge of day and night, the Hathor priestesses
decreed her special and called her Layla-Nour, a child born at
the powerful meeting of dark and light. Now in the desert, it is
dark. The stars of Nut and the silver shine of Djehuty the moon
god are blotted out. Behind the eddying wind and shifting dust,
she hears the wild dogs howl – or are these the mournful cries
of the shadow-beings and their eerie wailing at the back of the
wind? Will a shadow-being play some part in her future? Nour,
torn and cold, could have no idea that she stood on the threshold
of a future that would not only dwarf the victories of her father
but shake the customs and history of Khemet to its very roots.
Paul F. Newman, Author, Astrologer

In Priestess of Anubis, Judith and Paul share with us the story of
Layla-Nour, the daughter of the pharaoh whose mother died in
childbirth. Not content to be involved in a political marriage,
Nour instead decides to embrace a greater sense of meaning and
destiny. This leads her to the temple of Anubis, where she learns
the arts of magick and mysticism, and her presence there initiates
the priesthood of the temple into a new state of being. During her
tenure she is accompanied by her canine companion Nubi.
The entire story is enriched by incorporating ideas and gods from
other cultures, giving us the interconnectedness of the time, a
point not commonly considered. Through this, we find some of the
most profound yet sublime esoteric teachings that have survived
to the present day. Gripping, easy-to-read, and revelatory,
Priestess of Anubis teaches us many lessons throughout its pages,
but the one that stands out to me the most is the lesson that when
destiny calls, all we can do is what we can do, even if it does not
sense at the time, because all is in divine order, or rather, in
alignment with Ma’at.
