Open Mic to the Wounded Soul: A Collection of Poetry Written Through my Spiritual Journey is a series of poems that I’ve written in the last decade. I’ve survived a pandemic, an intense presidential election, heartbreak, grief, disappointment, loneliness, betrayal, church hurt, and spiritual uncertainty, but I did not allow all these things to keep me stranded in the wounded place. Having been wounded, writing and communicating my thoughts to God through poetry was my healing. Life has left me with scars and wounds that have shaped me, but I never knew this gift of writing would not only help someone else, yet be my relief in broken seasons.
