This is the story of two special sons of William K. and Nancy G. Meadors. These were two sons who had different personalities, and who took different paths to their final destination. Brandon died in a horrific car accident in 2012. Lyle, who was dual diagnosed as an addict to drugs and alcohol along with mental illness, died in a South Georgia prison cell in 2015. This is a story of how drugs and alcohol affected a Christian family for many years. William and Nancy have been in the ministry all of their 63-year marriage. Chronicling the struggles, hurts, and pains of a disease that affects entire family dynamics, hopefully, will outlay a life experience that can minister to others facing the same situations.

William and Nancy want to clarify the circumstances that surrounded Lyle's many years of struggle that lead to a suicidal death. To family and friends who knew Lyle, hopefully this will help all to understand more clearly what lead to such a decision that brought sadness and sorrow to our hearts.

On the other hand, Brandon had a different story, but he also faced difficult challenges in life including depression after the tragic death of his young wife eleven years before his own tragic death. Again, these are two sons who took different paths to reach their destination of eternal life in the presence of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As the story of these two unfold, it will be seen that they each had a relationship with God.

This is also a story of the triumphal overcoming faith displayed by these two parents. As Dr. Meadors has stated, the death of these two sons shook his faith initially, but he never lost trust in God. This is truly an account of two faithful servants of the Lord who remain strong in their faith and continue to serve in the Kingdom of God.
