The story is about a 5-year-old boy named Timmy who loves to explore the woods near his house. One day, he meets a talking wild deer named Ben, who takes him on a journey through the woods to meet some new animal friends. Timmy meets a friendly caterpillar named Cathy, a funny butterfly named Benny, and a wise but slow-speaking snake named Lerry. Along the way, he learns fun facts about each animal, such as how caterpillars turn into butterflies and how snakes sense vibrations in the ground. At the end of his adventure, Timmy says goodbye to his new animal friends and heads back home, looking forward to more adventures in the woods with his new companions.
