Why A Case oF Daylight Robbery?

This is an unusual book because the author, Peter Spreckley, a retired solicitor, has little theological training, yet he is writing it as one who has heard from the Lord and has been commissioned by Him to share what He wants His wider church to proclaim to the world, foundational truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ where the church is failing to teach them.

The book is the fulfillment of a prophetic word given in 1984 when Peter was just a newborn babe in Christ, and the commission to write it was confirmed by a spectacular miracle as he finished it, both of which are recorded in the book.

He draws attention to the several fundamental truths revealed in scriptures that undergird the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and which Peter has never heard preached in the nearly 70 years of attending Anglican churches yet have become his personal life-changing experience. The truths are fundamental to revealing who we are in Christ and so our identity in Him.

The author shares how the New Covenant, which is a blood covenant, has made provision for the resources and assets of heaven to be available to born-again believers; the new birth as the condition precedent to becoming a Christian: the exceedingly great and precious promises in 2 Peter 1:4 which enable born-again believers to partake of the divine nature: the more than 21 changes which instantly occur when we are born again of the Holy Spirit: how faith is a spiritual force which requires corresponding action to be effective: how the verse “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” is the “gold standard” for reading scripture. Additionally, Peter looks at some teachings of Jesus that his church seems to have abandoned, such as the narrow and broad gates, hell, and the devil.

In the book the reader may have his eyes opened to the headline scriptural truths which are not being taught, resulting in countless believers at risk of being robbed of the opportunity to find their full identity in Christ, even sleep-walking into a godless eternity.
