Inhaltsangabe

This is a self-confession of a murderer, narrated in the first person, telling a story about revenge.

The protagonist, Nathen Fellows, has an enviable profession as a university professor, but beneath his seemingly polite and cultured exterior lies a cruel and ruthless heart, like a venomous snake.

Interestingly, when questioned by the police, Nathen behaves contemptuously and with many loopholes, as if he has no intention of hiding anything. Is he confident or does he have another reason?
