Imagine an international network of radical black Christian nationalist student activists and church ministers imbued with a radical zeal to challenge colonialism and restore African pride and culture. Imagine this network sharing ideas and creating institutions and organisations. Such a network did exist, and from it arose a movement. It was called Ethiopianism, and during the nineteenth century it promoted a set of ideas and core values that become known as Pan-Africanism.
