Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Gurhan Durak is a Professor of Instructional Technologies at Balikesir University. Dr. Durak gained his Ph.D. in Distance Education at Anadolu University. His academic interest areas are open and distance learning, Generative Artificial Intelligence, Learning analytics, virtual reality, Metaverse in education, social learning networks, support services in distance education, online learning, and administration of distance education. He has authored over 60 articles, book contributions, books, and editorials, and is a Chief Editor of the Journal of Educational Technology and Online Learning, as well as a member of the Editorial Boards of other international journals.

Serkan Çankaya is an Associate Professor at İzmir Demokrasi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the director of the university's Distance Education Center. He holds a PhD in Distance Education from Anadolu University, with research focusing on educational technology, special education technology, online course design, and interactive learning environments. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Computers in Education (IJCE) and the Journal of Online Learning Studies (Jour-OLS), and as an editor for the Journal of Educational Technology and Online Learning (JETOL). Serkan has contributed significantly to research and practical projects aimed at improving educational experiences through technology.
